Earth Club Cleans Up
Contributed by Keira Pearce

Earth Club 2024-2025 has had a wide variety of events and we have a lot of interesting things coming up! This year we have worked on cleaning up campus but as the weather got colder we have watched two documentaries, “Kiss the Ground” and “Buy Now: The Shopping Conspiracy” as well sampling different teas with various medicinal purposes. This year we have also made an instagram account that you can follow @chariho_earth for updates on meetings and information. This year we have also started a new campaign on our Instagram called “World Wednesday” where every week we post about new relevant and interesting topics. The topics include pollution prevention, thrifting, overconsumption, and more! We are also partnered with a new program to implement waste separation in our lunchroom to make Chariho more sustainable. After February break we will have more bins to place waste including food, liquids, recycling, and trash with the goal of reducing the amount of food waste that we produce as well as reducing the amount of waste we send to landfills. If you’re interested in joining the club or if you have any questions please feel free to email Earth Club Co-Presidents Keira Pearce and Julianne Manlove or Earth Club Director Elizabeth Charpentier.
