FBLA Chapter Update

Contributed by Ethan Tarsagian

The Chariho High School Chapter of FBLA has kicked off the 2024-2025 school year with great enthusiasm. Under the advisory leadership of Mrs. MacLeod, our club has focused on expanding our membership, using flyers, multiple emails, and our extracurricular activity fair for promotion. Thanks to these efforts, our membership grew from twelve active members to 53 new members. We’ve been dedicated to spreading our message and putting a plan in place to meet our goals for the year ahead. Recently, we held elections for our officer positions, and we’re thrilled to announce our team: President Ethan Tarsagian, Vice-President Charlie Edmunds, Secretary Morgan Allen, Treasurer Nicholas Wilusz, Membership/Fundraising Coordinators Lillian Baxter and Ella Murphy, Director of Social Media Lidia Taber, Parliamentarian Quinn Goodman, School Store Managers Lilah Jennings and Avery Clarke, and Ambassador Efe Koseglu. Our officer team has been collaborating closely to plan future fundraising events and enhance our school store. At our homecoming football game, we successfully sold school merchandise at the Farm to School Pop-Up Shop, and we aim to continue our efforts to raise funds for nationals. We’re also excited to welcome co-advisor Susan Prior, who has been instrumental in promoting our club, teaching us self-advocacy, and organizing potential guest speakers. Looking ahead, we plan to host a business dress-up day, continue our fundraising initiatives, and help our new members acclimate to the club.
